Glenda was raised on the East Coast in a family with a long history on the unceded lands of the Mi'kmaq people. Her interest in health and wellness started with studying health sciences and then becoming a med lab tech. She then started a long, successful career in marketing and business learning the importance of systems, processes, and accountability on the road to modern-day measures of success. It was the study of human behaviour from a different perspective.

Then she encountered Death and walked the path of Grief, befriending Grief and allowing Her to transform and reshape her being and perspective. Those years of wandering, searching for answers to questions that only those on the path dare ask, started to shine a light upon dark crevices in her being. It lit a path to her shadow work. Often in quiet bedrooms or hospital rooms with the dying, she would see glimpses into the Great Mystery, confirming something that was Knowing deep within her heart.

Her introduction to yoga and meditation began in 1992. It would be a relationship that stood the test of time, although morphing and adapting many times over the years, perhaps aligned with her own journey into Self. Over the 30 years of practice and more than a decade as a teacher, her direct experience of how these practices have supported her own healing journey plays a role in her teaching style and approach.

Glenda's dedication to yoga and meditation, spanning over three decades, underscores her commitment to holistic healing and self-discovery. She has a Reiki Master in the Usui lineage. Her unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience reflects a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.

As both a teacher and student of yoga philosophy, Glenda offers a compassionate and grounded approach to her practice, rooted in direct experience and informed by her ongoing studies. She understands the power of these practices to support healing and transformation, and she shares this wisdom with her students and clients alike.

Glenda was trained as a psychotherapist in Toronto where she worked for several years as both a death doula and a psychotherapist before moving her practice online. She continues to work with clients virtually from Ontario and Saskatchewan.

She is a registered psychotherapist (CRPO #7809), a death doula, a certified yoga teacher (800+ hours with multiple styles), a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher, and a group facilitator/educator.

She is trained in multiple therapeutic modalities and continues to grow in her knowledge and application.

Her current studies focus on yoga therapy (working towards IAYT certification) and holistic nutrition (with a specialization in nutrition for mental health).

She offers classes that support nourishing the nervous system combining therapeutic yoga and applied polyvagal theory, yoga nidra/non-sleep deep rest, and workshops to support regulating stressed-out nervous systems. She has a special interest in using Nature and seasonal changes as a lens to discuss how we may also move through life and its associated challenges.
